Sara Beery

Sara Beery is an assistant professor at MIT EECS’ Faculty of AI and Decision Making and CSAIL. Her research develops computer vision and AI methods for global-scale environmental and biodiversity monitoring, bridging advances in technology with real-world conservation and sustainability challenges.

Beery is Co-PI of the NSF/NSERC Global Center on AI and Biodiversity Change, Biodiversity Community Lead for Climate Change AI, and founder of the AI for Conservation community. She works across academia, conservation, and industry to translate research into practical tools for understanding and protecting the natural world.
