Yue Yang

Dr. Yue Yang is a designer and researcher working at the intersection of digital fabrication, adaptive materials, and smart healthcare. As a postdoctoral researcher in the Tangible Media Group at the MIT Media Lab, Yang develops customizable fabrication methods and adaptive tangible objects designed to improve quality of life for diverse populations.

Yang holds a PhD in Design from Zhejiang University and has conducted research at UC Berkeley’s Morphing Matter Lab. Her work has received honors including Red Dot, iF, Dezeen, James Dyson, and the 2025 ACM SIGCHI China Doctoral Dissertation Award, and has been published at leading human-computer interaction conferences including CHI and UIST.
